Members of the military, law enforcement personnel, and civilian security contractors often require mountain, Arctic or high-altitude training to accomplish their missions. The American Alpine Institute offers a wide array of custom rock and ice climbing, skiing, mountaineering, cold weather, high altitude and high-angle rescue training options for government and military officials.
Many AAI programs can serve as vocational training for mountain professionals, and are eligible for GI Bill benefits for those aspiring to work in the industry. The American Alpine Institute is a licensed vocational school in the State of Washington, and we have been enrolling GI Bill students since 2016.
