If you’re new to rock climbing or have only climbed indoors, stepping outside opens up a whole new world of adventure. Outdoor climbing introduces unique physical and mental challenges that require technical skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving that you simply can’t develop in a gym.
Our Outdoor Rock Climbing Course is the perfect way to make that transition. Designed for complete beginners and indoor gym climbers alike, this program gives you a comprehensive introduction to outdoor climbing techniques and systems. You’ll not only experience the thrill of climbing outside, but also learn the technical skills needed to set up, manage, and climb at a single-pitch site on your own—without relying on a guide or instructor.
Climbing outside is about more than just pulling on holds. Unlike gym routes marked with tape, outdoor climbs require you to read the rock, identify holds like underclings and cracks, and find your own way up. You’ll develop the movement skills and climbing intuition needed to tackle everything from friction slabs to jam cracks and chimneys
By the end of this course, you’ll have the confidence, knowledge, and experience to enjoy outdoor climbing independently and take your climbing to the next level.
