Suzanna Lourie

Suzanna discovered her love of “big” mountains working as a travel writer exploring remote regions of the Himalaya and Patagonian Andes. She eventually moved to Colorado and changed careers to work as a wilderness guide in the Four Corners region. Inspired by the landscape, Suzanna dove headfirst into more technical pursuits like alpine climbing, mountain running and backcountry skiing. She hasn’t looked back since. When she’s not in the Cascades, Suzanna is based in Ouray, Colorado, where she tries to climb as much ice as possible and enjoys scrambling above 13k around her home. Suzanna is passionate about empowering others to reach their mountaineering goals. She is a certified yoga teacher and aspires to guide on some of the highest peaks in the world.
