Shannon Kriz

Shannon grew up in Pennsylvania and learned to love the outdoors through climbing and hiking thorughout the Appalachian Mountains. She started her career working at Outward Bound there, and moved to the west coast after a couple years to continue growing and learning in bigger mountains. She currently moves between the Cascades, Smith Rock, and Joshua Tree throughout the year. Shannon hopes to bring her background in education and experience in facilitating spaces for women and queer folk into her work at AAI, and create courses that meet everyone where they are at.
