Jose Salazar

Guides in Ecuador. Jose grew up in Ecuador with an involvement in Scouts and mountaineering clubs that made environmental conservation and climbing his dual passions for most of his life. He received guide training both Ecuador and in Germany, and now with thirteen years of experience, he currently guides in Germany June–September and in Ecuador the rest of the year. Jose has found great reward in climbing all of Ecuador’s mountains by diverse routes as well as the most significant peaks in Bolivia, Peru and Argentina. He enjoys teaching a lot and guiding in multi-cultural environments. Speaks English, German, and Spanish.
