Ian grew up on the East Coast, where he remained for college before making the move west full time. His academic and professional background in education and environmental studies drives his passion for supporting each individual’s progression into the mountains, and he works tirelessly to build deep connections between individuals and the landscapes they move through. When not guiding, he can be found pursuing ski mountaineering objectives, reading, and cooking tasty meals.
