Guides: Angela Seidling and Erik JohnsonClimbers: Llew Gartrell (Australia), Nicholas Durack (UK), Peter Grant (UK), Edward Iglesias (Australia), and Paul Watkins (Australia).
Angela called at 5:40pm Alaska time with the following message:
“Hey everybody, it’s Angela calling from Team Four.  It’s  a very cold and snowy Sunday up here at high camp, and we’re still just waiting for a weather window to make a summit attempt.  It looks like tomorrow and Tuesday are both going to be more much more favorable for us, so we’ll keep you posted.
In the mean time, this is our third day up here.  We’ve had a lot of time in  our tents, trying to stay occupied.  There’s been a lot of book reading, climbing magazines, ipods, what else?
Let’s see Peter has taken to talking to his Clean Mountain Cans as if it’s a pet.  I’m pretty sure it’s because he’s board not the altitude!
We have a few messages for people:
Lou wants to say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to his dad.
And Paul would like to tell Ilona, “I’m counting down the nights til I come home.”
To us to Eric and he said, “It’s not that I don’t like Eddy and Peter, she’s just much, much better looking.”
Well – everyone is doing well despite the cold conditions – and being patient.  We’re definitely waiting for good conditions for our summit climb.  We’ll call again when there’s more news.  We’ll try to call in on Monday when the office is open to get your messages.  It’s always fun to hear from friends and family back home.
Thanks for the messages!  We’ll be talking to you again soon.”.
