Andrew Yasso called at 7:51pm PST on May 13th, with the following dispatch: We flew in to the Kahiltna glacier today around 3:30pm. We got camp set up and we’ve got dinner going now. We’re having spaghetti with meat sauce, we’re saute’ing some onions and zucchini and will be having some delicious french bread on the side.
It’s partly cloudy right now at base camp. The sun is directly over Mt. Foraker. We are joined by Chad, Dustin and Vijay from Team 2. They’re going to join us for dinner. Tomorrow we’re going to get going in the morning and make our way to Camp 1. The whole team is excited to be here and get going up the mountain. We will call tomorrow after our super heavy carry.
