Alasdair called at 8:10 PST on 5/2 with the following dispatch:
“Hi all, this is Alasdair calling from Camp 1 at 7,800 feet on the Kahiltna glacier. We’ve got a whole bunch of messages from everyone to send home. But first, we wanted to let you know that we were able to make an equipment cache at 9,500 feet today, and we plan on moving up to Camp 2…”*
*At this point Alasdair was disconnected. This will happen periodically as clouds move overhead and satellites move out of position for transmissions.
