Accident Update
We have received reports of an accident on the upper mountain on Denali. None of our teams were involved. The New York Times is reporting that this was a Latvian Team:
“Three members of a Latvian climbing expedition have died in an accident high on Mount McKinley in Alaska’s Denali National Park, according the Latvian Mountaineering Association. A fourth climber was rescued and is in critical condition, the organization said.”
We would encourage the media to contact Denali National Park with any inquiries. We do not have any details concerning this accident.
