Mount Erie is a great place for a beginning rock climber or for someone looking to perfect their skills. Located on the top of a large bluff overlooking the San Juan Island and Pacific ocean, the views are stunning. The access at Mount Erie and it’s central location in Western Washington make it an ideal spot for climbers who have only a day or even a half day to get out and climb.
Prerequisites for private climbs can vary widely depending on the nature of the trip, the terrain, and your personal goals. Some climbs may require advanced technical skills in rock, snow, or ice, while others are suitable for those with limited experience but a strong desire to learn. Our team will work with you to assess your current abilities, discuss the objectives, and recommend any necessary preparation so that the experience is challenging, rewarding, and tailored specifically to you. Whenever appropriate, we love to teach and help participants build new skills along the way, making each climb both an adventure and a learning experience. Good physical fitness is always required.
