Alasdair Turner called June 1st at 10:00am PST with the following dispatch: Hey this is Alasdair at 11,200, Camp 2, we moved here yesterday. We had a camp disaster last night. We got at least a foot of snow last night maybe more and our cook tent collapsed. We spent a long time repairing poles this morning. But we’re up and running again and had a decent breakfast.
Today we have to back carry to get our cache and get more food today. The snow will make that particularly difficult so we are going to send everyone except one person who will mind the camp. This is the strongest group I’ve ever had so I’m sure they’ll do fine in the low visibility and deep snow today.
