Tim Medvetz is a former Hell’s Angel who has spent his life chasing adventure. On September 10, 2001, he suffered a terrible motorcycle crash that left his body absolutely devastated. At the time doctors told him that he might never walk again. He went through eight surgeries to save his foot and it took two metal plates and twenty screws to repair his cracked skull. He has a titanium cage on his spine and a knee full of screws and plates.

When Medvetz’s doctors told him he might never walk again, he vowed to not only walk, but to climb the tallest mountain in the world. On May 27th, 2007, he stood on top of Mt. Everest.
After his successful summit bid, Medvetz realized that his experience of climbing up out of a life-altering injury was similar to the injuries suffered by combat veterans. In 2009, Medvetz started The Heroes Project, a project to get seven wounded warriors to the top of the Seven Summits.
